Owner & Lead Dentist
Dr. Radmila Shuminov is the owner and lead dentist at Tru Smiles Dental of Huntington. A native New Yorker and second-generation dentist, she has over a decade of experience delivering exceptional, ethical, patient-centered care.
Dr. Shuminov earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery through New York University’s accelerated BA/DDS program and completed her residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. With over 1,000 hours of continuing education, she holds Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry—an honor achieved by only 6% of dentists.
Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her four children and husband, cooking, and learning to grow her own food.

Dr. Rendon's passion for dentistry began at age fourteen while assisting her own dentist, where she discovered the profound impact of dental care.
After earning degrees from Loyola University and Tufts University's School of Dental Medicine, she completed her residency at Nassau University Medical Center and gained Invisalign certification. Committed to continuous learning, Dr. Rendon is active in several top dental associations.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with loved ones and traveling the world, having visited eleven countries.

Associate Dentist
Dr. Danielle Bassaragh combines technical excellence with genuine compassion, offering a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to dentistry. She earned her B.A. from Stony Brook University, M.S. from Rutgers University, and Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University before completing a General Practice Residency at NYU Langone Long Island.
Dr. Bassaragh is known for her ability to connect with patients, understand their goals, and create personalized treatment plans that enhance both function and confidence.
Outside the office, she’s a self-described “serial hobbyist” who enjoys hiking, dancing, and exploring new creative pursuits—bringing that same curiosity and enthusiasm to her practice every day.

Ava Picciano, RDH
Registered Dental Hygienist
Ava earned her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Farmingdale State College, where she also became certified in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide delivery. She has been working in dentistry since 2022 and officially joined the profession as a licensed dental hygienist after graduating in 2025.
Ava loves seeing the visible difference a healthy smile can make in a patient’s confidence and overall well-being. Her warm energy and attention to detail make even routine cleanings feel refreshing and transformative. Outside the office, Ava enjoys reading, working out, baking, taking long walks, and spending time with family and friends.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Linda brings more than 42 years of experience in dental hygiene to Tru Smiles Dental of Huntington. She holds an Associate of Science degree from SUNY Farmingdale and has expanded-duty training that allows her to provide comprehensive, patient-focused care.
Over her decades in dentistry, Linda has built lasting relationships with generations of patients. Her favorite part of the profession is connecting with people—earning their trust, easing their worries, and helping them maintain healthy, beautiful smiles for life.

Andrea has been part of the dental field since 1999 and brings both skill and compassion to every patient she treats. A graduate of Farmingdale State College’s Dental Hygiene program (Class of 2004), Andrea is dedicated to helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their oral health journey.
She believes that a healthy smile is essential to overall well-being and takes pride in providing gentle, thorough care tailored to each individual’s needs. Detail-oriented and naturally positive, Andrea creates a calming experience in the chair that patients truly appreciate.

A proud Brooklyn native, Janet brings 14 years of dental assisting experience to Tru Smiles Dental of Huntington. For the past three years, she has been an invaluable member of our team—known for her gentle touch, efficiency, and genuine care for every patient she meets.
Janet earned her education from St. Francis College and has spent her career ensuring patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their dental visits. Her favorite part of working at Tru Smiles Dental is the teamwork and supportive environment that makes every day enjoyable and rewarding.
Outside the office, Janet loves spending quality time with her family, traveling, and watching her favorite shows.

Nootsa Kavtaradze
Dental Assistant
Nootsa brings enthusiasm, precision, and a lifelong passion for dentistry to TruSmiles Dental of Huntington. A graduate of Stony Brook University, she also earned her Dental Assistant Certification through BOCES and has been working in the field for five years.
Having grown up in her parents’ dental laboratory, Nootsa was immersed in the world of dentistry from a young age. That early exposure inspired her deep appreciation for the art and science behind every smile. Today, she continues to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist while contributing exceptional care and attention to detail as part of the TruSmiles team.
Office Manager
Karen is the heart of our office operations at Tru Smiles Dental of Huntington. Originally from Centerport, she brings over 20 years of experience in the dental field and has proudly served as our Office Manager for the last three years. Dentistry runs in her family—Karen is a second-generation dental office manager, following in the footsteps of her mother, who managed this very practice before her.
Karen studied at LaSalle University and has built her career on creating a warm, organized, and supportive environment for both patients and staff. Her dedication to exceptional patient experience, team communication, and smooth day-to-day operations helps ensure every visit feels seamless from the moment you walk through the door.
Outside the office, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, reading, working out, and cooking.

Dental Receptionist & Assistant
Originally from the Bronx, Pamela brings over 25 years of experience in the dental field to Tru Smiles Dental of Huntington. She has been an essential part of our team for the past year and a half, supporting both our front desk and clinical operations with care and professionalism.
Pamela studied at Nassau Community College and has built her career around creating a welcoming, organized, and comfortable experience for every patient who walks through our doors. Her favorite part of working at Tru Smiles Dental is collaborating with her amazing team and helping patients feel at ease from start to finish.
Outside of the office, Pamela loves spending time with friends, dining out, and traveling to new places.
